Vinicius Jr is primed to be in the running to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or award after enjoying a prolific campaign with Real Madrid.
Now, as per Marca, his own teammates are also trying to build up his momentum to lift the trophy. Indeed, the Real Madrid dressing room has started campaign to help the Brazilian clinch the award.
Those at Real Madrid believe that Vini Jr totally deserves the Ballon d’Or after the way he has helped them compete for top trophies.
With that being said, the Brazilian is likely to face stiff competition for the award. That will include a fight with teammate Jude Bellingham, who has had an amazing debut season at Real Madrid with 22 goals and 10 assists. Incidentally, Jude called him the ‘best footballer in the world’ at the La Liga trophy parade too.
Moreover, Kylian Mbappe will also fight hard for the award. He has 54 goal contributions for PSG and will also fight to help France win the Euro 2024.
Vini will need to perform really well in the upcoming Copa America and help Brazil win the title to elevate his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or. Moreover, he also needs to shine in the Champions League final and help Los Blancos lift their 15th title.
The 23-year-old winger has made 36 appearances for Real Madrid this season, scoring 21 goals and providing 11 assists.
