Last year was a tricky one for the young left-back who left FC Copenhagen in January to try to keep Leicester in the Premier League. The rescue mission failed and he was then loaned out to Bologna in the summer. “It has been a tough year – It was difficult to be brought in, trying to be one of the guys who needed to save the team,” Victor Kristiansen told Tipsbladet last November. The move to Serie A, however, has been a success and he has rediscovered his love for the game. He loves living in Italy and enjoys going for a coffee in Bologna, with the espresso being his go-to-order. He is the naturally left-footed left-back that Denmark has been looking for.
