Mohamed Elneny's future at Besiktas in limbo as Turkish side owe him €1.3m in wages

According to Turkish newspaper Hurriyet, Besiktas are experiencing economic difficulties and owe Mohamed Elneny €1.3m in wages.

The Egyptian has told the Turkish side that he won't return on the pitch until he gets his money.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

The 27-year-old has also fired off a warning Besiktas that he can leave them like Loris Karius, who terminated his loan contract with them earlier this season for the same reason.

Previously, both parties were hoping to extend a loan deal for another season but such a situation puts the midfielder's future with the Black Eagles in doubt.

The Egyptian's contract with Arsenal runs until 2022, which means that the Gunners might need to look for some other club to loan him out for or offload for good.

Another option would be to give Mo another chance at the Emirates: something Gilberto Silva would back as the Invincible earlier compared the 27-year-old to Patrick Vieira.
