Arsenal have created a shortlist of potential strikers to target in the upcoming January transfer window, claims The Athletic.
It was noted in their 'Daily Football Briefing' podcast that the Gunners’ top target for the winter window remains Brentford striker Ivan Toney, whose suspension ends in January.
Arsenal feel that Toney can be a game-changer for them and significantly boost their Premier League title charge, but he can cost over £80m.
Mikel Arteta’s side have also included Napoli striker Victor Osimhen into their transfer wishlist, despite him signing a new contract recently.
Arsenal’s striker wishlist is capped off by Brighton forward Evan Ferguson and RB Leipzig man Benjamin Sesko, who are both seen as long-term options.
With that being said, the Gunners will probably have to generate money from selling players before they can splash big money to sign a new top-quality striker in January.
