Didier Deschamps makes William Saliba decision ahead of Netherlands clash

William Saliba will keep his place in France's starting XI for the Netherlands clash at Euro 2024 on Friday evening.

According to L'Equipe, the Arsenal star will continue as a left-sided centre-back after France staff were 'seduced' by his performance vs Austria.

The 23-year-old was initially expected to stay benched for the tournament before Didier Deschamps made a U-turn and started him for the opening clash against Austria.

Saliba helped France keep a clean sheet in a 1–0 win and will now look to establish himself as a key part of his national team squad as they look to go all the way and win the tournament.
