Bad luck or poor form? Lenglet completes 'mistakes poker' with Getafe own goal

According to WhoScored, Clement Lenglet is the only player in the top five European leagues to have scored an own goal, been sent off, commit an error leading to an opposition goal and concede a penalty this season. As Mundo Deportivo put it, the Frenchman has completed a poker of mistakes with his own goal against Getafe.

In fact, Lenglet has conceded four penalties in 2020/21 — against Real Madrid, Juventus, Cadiz and PSG — more than any other player at the club.

This term so far, Lenglet has played 43 matches for Barcelona, scoring a goal. The Frenchman had a poor season but seemed to have regained his form back in the recent few matches, only to score an own goal against Getafe.

Messi 10, Lenglet 3: Rating Barca players in Getafe win

Leo Messi - 10/10

Definitely one of Leo's best games this season. The Argentine started the match in style, attempting a few dangerous shots and scoring a quick brace. After the break, he kept on creating chances and could've scored even more.

Antoine Griezmann - 8.5/10

One of Anto's best games in terms of creating chances and recovering possession. He wasn't our No. 9 tonight but he did some amazing job in the attacking midfield instead.

Sergio Busquets - 7.5/10

Amazing passing accuracy (103/108 passes completed), a picture-perfect assist for Leo Messi and a solid defensive outing from Busi tonight.

Sergi Roberto - 4/10

Roberto played as a wing-back but it's fair to say that Sergino Dest would've likely had a better game tonight. Sergi provided plenty of inaccurate passes and wasn't really convincing while supporting the team's attacks.

Clement Lenglet - 3/10

Got booked quite early, scored an own goal, didn't contribute much at the back. Another bad day in the office for the Frenchman.

Other players' ratings: Moriba 7, De Jong 7, Pedri 7, Mingueza 6.5, Pique 6.5, Alba 6, Araujo 6, Ter Stegen 6, Trincao 5.5, Umtiti N/A.
