'Laporta's words are overdone': Koeman's agency explain reason for Ronald's medical check

"The words of FC Barcelona’s president Joan Laporta during a press conference today about Ronald Koeman's anxiety attack are overdone," the Dutchman's agency Wasserman tweet.

"Ronald has been to the hospital for blood pressure checks, a routine check for people with his medical history.

"We regret the way it got into the media. Ronald is fine, there is nothing to worry about," Koeman's representatives conclude.

"Yesterday, Koeman gave us a worrying fear. He had to go to the hospital. But luckily everything is well. I told him to calm down and take it easy," Joan Laporta said at the latest presser.

On Thursday, it was reported that the Dutchman was admitted to a hospital with an anxiety attack.

At his latest big presser, Joan Laporta has confirmed that the club are currently evaluating all the possible scenarios regarding Ronald Koeman's future. However, if there's no agreement with one of the candidates, the Dutchman will reportedly stay put.

Here's how Koeman's agency Wasserman described the whole situation.

"Imagine: I want to marry you, but I have doubts. Give me two weeks to find a better partner… If I can't find the right person, we will get married anyway!"

Interestingly, the agency later deleted the tweet.

'He gave us a worrying fear': Laporta confirms Koeman was hospitalized on Thursday

Joan Laporta has just confirmed that Ronald Koeman was hospitalized on Thursday.

"Yesterday, Koeman gave us a worrying fear. He had to go to the hospital. But luckily everything is well. I told him to calm down and take it easy."

Koeman has had a running battle with heart issues after undergoing surgery for a similar complaint last May.

Koeman's stay at Barcelona is under probability as even Laporta hasn't given a green light for the Dutchman's stay at Camp Nou.

Albeit, the former Everton and Holland manager still has a year left on his current deal.
