'I want to see a more attack-minded Barca': Laporta talks his tactical expectations from Koeman

"I hope to see a more attack-minded Barca next season. I want a winning mindset that takes care of the details. We have to press better and be more intense," Joan Laporta has told the media after announcing Ronald Koeman's stay.

Earlier, it was reported that the president asked the Dutchman to switch to the 4-3-3 formation which is considered classic for Barcelona.

The Catalans have already signed Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Emerson to strengthen the first team. The signings of Memphis Depay and Georginio Wijnaldum are reportedly on their way.

Laporta: 'If I caused Koeman discomfort, I would apologise'

"I told Koeman that if at any time I caused him discomfort, I would apologise," Joan Laporta has told the media.

"A period of reflection was needed to make conclusions, regardless of whether there was a contract in force," the president explained.

The Barcelona board was heavily criticised by fans for the 'disrespect' towards the manager. Laporta took his time to look for the Dutchman's possible successor but stuck to Koeman in the long run.

Besides, there was an unpleasant moment when Laporta didn't seem to know what exactly happened to the Dutchman when the latter was seen in a hospital.
