Ronaldo in, Trincao out: 13-name transfer round-up at Barca with probability ratings

The transfer window is yet to officially open but transfer rumours around Barcelona are flooding in like never before. In case you've missed some of them, here's Tribuna.com's round-up of recent transfer news around your favourite club.

INS

AC Milan have reportedly offered the left-footed centre-back in exchange for Junior Firpo. Although Barca are said to be prioritizing a transfer, it wouldn't be a surprise if Romagnoli joins us in a swap deal since he fits the profile Blaugrana are on the market for.

Probability rating: 5/10

The Catalans are interested in the German as they want to sign a competitor to Jordi Alba. Gosens would cost Barca around €35m and according to recent reports, Blaugrana consider his price tag excessive and are not sure that Atalanta would agree to a swap deal.

Probability rating: 4/10

It's said that Joan Laporta wants the Portuguese to team up with Leo Messi at Camp Nou next season. Although Ronaldo could theoretically be open to a move this summer, it's difficult to imagine that Barca would be his destination. We might simply not be able to afford his salary.

Probability rating: 1/10

Silva's agent has reportedly offered the striker to Barcelona who are considering as an alternative to Erling Haaland. Eintracht Frankfurt are ready to sell him for €35m, which is €10m below his market value, it's said.

Probability rating: 5/10

Considering the abundance of rumours, Laporte seems to be a priority for Barca this summer. However, Manchester City are not interested in swapping players with us and have slapped a €60m price tag on him, it's claimed. This would significantly lower the Catalans chances of getting him.

Probability rating: 6/10

The same applies to Bernardo — Man City are not interested in exchanging players, have slapped a €60m price tag. An attacking midfielder is not exactly what Barca are looking for, so the 26-year-old should hardly be a priority.

OUTS

Konrad is expected to join Marseille already this week after the two clubs reached an agreement over his transfer. According to previous reports, the winger will cost €3.5m with Barca retaining 50% rights to the player.

Probability rating: 9.5/10

Everton have reportedly inquired about Coutinho's availability but there's nothing advanced as of yet. The Catalans would also be open to letting Phil leave on loan, it's reported.

Probability rating: 6/10

The 24-year-old would only be sold if he refuses to extend his contract with Barca, which is set to expire in 2022. Dembele's fresh injury could impede his potential departure, however.

Probability rating: 3/10

The Frenchman is on the club's transfer list but his history with injuries makes his exit harder. It's been said that there are serious doubts whether Umtiti can continue playing at the top level.

Probability rating: 7/10

The winger could leave on loan, with Wolves said to be interested in Trincao. Barca would also be open to selling him for €30m, which is €1m less than what they paid for Francisco back in 2020.

Probability rating: 8/10

The young centre-back is close to joining Nice on a permanent transfer as the French side want to trigger the buyout clause previously agreed with Barcelona. Blaugrana would get €8.5m plus add ons from the move.

Probability rating: 9.5/10

Despite reports that the 21-year-old could be loaned out for next season, Joan Laporta has said that Puig is an important asset for the future, all but ruling out his summer exit.

Probability rating: 2/10

Laporta promises 2 or 3 more signings – who are they? You asked, we answered

In his latest interview, Joan Laporta has said that the club would sign '3 or 4 new players' – this was before Memphis Depay's signing was officially announced, though, which means we can expect 2 or 3 new players to come.

Let's try to predict the will-be-strengthened positions and the players who might join Barca.

Left-back

With Junior Firpo set to leave the club, Barca will definitely look for Jordi Alba's substitute on the transfer market.

Juan Miranda has been sold to Real Betis while there are no other young left-backs at the club ready to take such a big role – and this makes Barca's intentions even clearer.

Central midfielder

One might say there are plenty of central midfielders at Barca, but the coaching staff seemingly don't think so.

Ronald Koeman had been hunting for Georginio Wijnaldum's signature for long until PSG stole him at the very last minute. Rumour has it Barca won't give up as Koeman still needs a prolific man in the central area.

Centre-back

It's possible that Barca actually end up signing nobody in this position but there are so many rumours that we simply can't ignore them.

Barca currently have 6 centre-backs on the roster but if both Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet leave the club, it's obvious that the Catalans will go for another defender, be it highly-rated De Ligt or a cut-price option like Milan's Alessio Romagnoli.

Centre-forward

Well, this is the least likely position to be reinforced out of the four.

Antoine Griezmann is expected to stay while Barca have signed Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay, so it seems like we're well-packed upfront.

However, if Blaugrana get the chance to spend money on a real superstar, Joan Laporta will definitely consider this option.

Laporta reveals how many more signings Barca fans should expect in summer

"We are going to make a very competitive team. We are already seeing it with the additions of Eric Garcia, Aguero and Emerson, and other players who are about to come," Joan Laporta has told La Vanguardia.

"How many more? 3 or 4 more," he added.

Given Memphis Depay has already put a pen to paper, we should now expect 2 or 3 players to come.

It's quite possible that Barca sign a centre-back, a left-back and a central midfielder as the Catalans have enough players in the remaining positions.

Blaugrana have signed 4 players (Depay, Aguero, Emerson, Garcia) for a total of just €9m as most footballers arrive as free agents.
