4 key claims as Bartomeu responds to board's accusations of poor management

Following the Due Diligence carried out by the current Barcelona board, former president Josep Maria Bartomeu has provided an official response in the form of a lengthy open letter.

Here are the four main ideas expressed in the letter, as per Esport3's Maria Garrido.

1. The board that closes the financial year, i.e the current one, is responsible for the financial results.

2. The pandemic prevented the club from bringing in at least €330m.

3. The net debt was €558m and not €1,350m as it has been claimed.

4. The club was not at risk of bankruptcy and liquidation.
