Barca want to first see if Sergio Busquets will sign his extension. If the veteran decides to continue, it will be very difficult for Nico to continue at Camp Nou.
Last summer, Nico decided to leave on loan in order to get more playing time. The midfielder had an offer from Juventus but opted for Valencia since he was convinced by then-coach Gennaro Gattuso.
This season so far, Nico has played 14 matches (6 starts) for Valencia and has scored one goal. He was sidelined for three months due to injury.
