Joao Cancelo's buyout clause at Barca revealed – payment depends on Champions League performance

Joao Cancelo's buyout clause at Barcelona will be €25m, according to Adria Albets.

It will become mandatory if Barca reach the Champions League last 16 this season.

Xavi's team have failed to qualify for the CL knockouts two times in a row, having played Europa League football in second halves of the season.

Barcelona will also pay the most of Cancelo's salary this season; the smaller part of it will still be paid by Manchester City.

The Portuguese is expected to travel to Barcelona on Thursday, August 24. He should officially join Barca on loan at the end of the week.

Joao Cancelo is a complete wing-back who can play both on the right and on the left. The 29-year-old is known for his playmaking qualities.
