'What a journey': Trent sends Ben Woodburn a farewell message

Ben Woodburn has secured a move to Preston North End after spending 16-years at the club.

During that time he came up through the ranks with his friend Trent Alexander-Arnold and now the latter has left him a parting message on his Instagram.

"My brother what a journey ❤️," wrote Trent as a farewell message to Ben.

Back in 2017, Trent said this about Woodburn while the pair were still teenagers: "It makes it easier when one of your mates is with you in the squad.

"I can chill with him all the time. It's not like going into the squad and not knowing anyone… if you're with your mate, it's a lot easier. It is great to see when someone who you know and who you've basically grown up with is doing well as well. It's so nice to see."
