Barcelona stance on potential Luis Diaz move revealed (reliability: 4 stars)

Barcelona have been one of the clubs linked with Luis Diaz, especially as his father revealed that the Liverpool winger would love to play in Spain at some point.

According to Catalan media outlet Diario Sport, Barcelona indeed appreciate Diaz. There's an understanding, however, that the transfer this summer is '100 per cent unaffordable'.

It's not a guarantee that Liverpool would consider selling Diaz. If they do, they'll likely ask for at least £75m which is not something Barcelona would be able to pay.

That's why they are pivoting to cheaper targets. Diaz, meanwhile, looks set to stay put at Anfield, which is not too bad considering his form that earned him Liverpool's Player of the Month award for April.
