"It looks good," said Ralf Rangnick in his pre-match press conference when asked to provide an injury update on Edinson Cavani.
"He has been in training. He could be part of the group on Sunday [against Manchester City].
"We will have to see what happens tomorrow or Sunday. But, as things stand, he should be part of the group."
The Manchester United forward has not played in the Premier League in 2022 so far but it's a welcome boost to have him available before facing Pep Guardiola and co at the Etihad.
A lot of pressure has been on Cristiano Ronaldo to score for the Red Devils and Cavani's presence could also allow Rangnick to tweak the formation if needed.
United are in dire need of three points to secure the fourth spot after the Watford stalemate last weekend.
