Speaking to Betfred, Dimitar Berbatov said: "Firstly, I don't believe that Kylian Mbappe will be moving to Manchester United. But I love Mbappe.
"I believe he's one of the best players in his position and I he can join any club he wants because he's so good. There's always speculation around his future
"There's a lot of fake news out there, but I don't believe Kylian will be moving to Man United this summer. Everybody would love to have Mbappe in their team."
Mbappe has informed Paris Saint-Germain that he will not extending his contract at the club which is currently set to expire at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
It has been suggested that Sheikh Jassim could look to bring the French striker to Old Trafford if his bid to come the new Man United owner succeeds after all.
