Gary Neville believes Diogo Dalot is far from evolving into a world-class player at Manchester United.
Despite his brilliance throughout the season, especially in the 2-1 win over Aston Villa, Gary is not convinced Dalot has reached his potential.
The Old Trafford legend does believe the Portuguese is the best available choice to Man United, even if he's not the best in the world.
Speaking on The Gary Neville podcast after the Villa clash, Neville explained: "Dalot is someone that people say he is the right-back of the future for Manchester United, they may have the right-back for the future there.
"He has a lot, he's six foot, he's strong, powerful, good on the ball, defends well.
"If he can play in a confident and settled back-four, then he is something to work with.
"Is he the best in the world? No. But does he have the potential to be a top full-back? Yes."
Neville is regarded as one of the best right-backs in Man United history and he's famous for his partnership with David Beckham down the right wing.
Dalot is also adept at bombarding down the right to contribute to the attack and he's only getting better with every game.
