Important Real Madrid player falls sick 5 days before Champions League final — Ancelotti confirms

“Andriy Lunin has fallen sick with a fever," Carlo Ancelotti said in his press conference.

"But he will be ready for the Champions League final," Ancelotti adds.

Lunin has been an important player for Real Madrid through the Champions League this season while Thibaut Courtois recovered from his ACL injury.

However, the Ukrainian goalie is unlikely to start the Champions League final, with Courtois back to full fitness. Lunin's sickness also doesn't help his course.

"The goalkeeper in the final? It's a difficult choice because Lunin has done a fantastic season and Courtois is Courtois. I will decide before the game," Ancelotti said.
