A year in Italy’s capital was what “NK” needed. After a turbulent season with Leeds, which ended in relegation, the no-nonsense defender joined Roma on loan last summer and has been getting regular playing time. “It has been much more than I could have hoped for,” he says. Rasmus Kristensen loves the Italian cuisine but has a slight problem with the late dinners and has tried to hold on to his Scandinavian eating patterns. “When we go out to eat, the restaurant will barely be open and they have hardly set the table – we are always the first to arrive.”
