Arsenal reportedly tell Mohamed Elneny they don't plan to keep him at the club

Mohamed Elneny could terminate his Besiktas deal and return to Arsenal if the Turkish club don't pay him €1.3m in wages for months he's already played.

However, according to local media outlet Fotospor, the Gunners have told the central midfielder he will have to search for another club if he goes back to north London.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

Loris Karius earlier terminated his loan contact for a similar reason - the Turkish club refused to pay the keeper the full contracted amount between October 2019 and March this year.

The Egyptian would have to file a legal complaint to FIFA to force his employer to pay the owed money, which could result in a lengthy court case.

Besiktas have suffered financially from the coronavirus outbreak and have offered a pay cut agreement to their players with Elneny being reportedly unhappy with the proposed agreement.

Even though the parties are at loggerheads the Turkish side would be eager to extend Elneny's stay for another season as they still hope to settle the dispute.
