2 players likeliest to join, 3 to leave & more: Arsenal's INs and OUTs sorted from most plausible to unlikely

As Arsenal moves closer to the start of pre-season, there’s a lot of transfer activity popping up.

Tribuna.com’s has its own rating system to deduce how trustworthy rumours on certain players are.

For those still unknowing, the star system in Tribuna.com is pretty simple. If a report is given 5 stars, it means that a source of information is 99-100 per cent reliable. If a report gets 4 stars it indicates the source has a good prediction record but has not always been precise. 3 stars are from hit n’ miss outlets.

Again, the mere fact that the club is in talks over some player doesn't mean that he'll eventually end up joining us or leaving if we speak about potential departures.

In this transfer round-up, we assess if the transfer is really likely to happen as of now by slapping a certain star tag (depending on the current developments) on every player linked with a move.

INS

According to The Athletic's latest report, the Gunners are expected to make at least 4-5 major signings this summer with priority positions being, central and attacking midfield, centre-back, full-back and a goalkeeper.

5 stars

Ben White. Arsenal are on the verge of completing a move for the centre-back. There are some details to be finalised with Brighton before the 23-year-old is given the green light to move to the Emirates. The Gunners are set to pay £45m plus £5m in addons.

Albert Lokonga. Another target that could become Arsenal's first signing this summer. The 21-year-old is expected to complete his move to Arsenal this summer for a fee in the region of £17m.

4 stars

Aaron Ramsdale. The Sheffield United keeper seems to be a top target for Arsenal in terms of strengthening the goalkeeper department. The parties are in talks over a transfer fee with the Blades demanding £24m.

Nuno Tavares. Arsenal have identified a replacement are in close contact with the player's representatives.

3 stars

Ruben Neves. After initial enquiries, Arsenal have not firmed up their interest with a bid. No wonder as Wolves are believed to be asking £35-40m.

Manuel Locatelli. The Sassuolo midfielder features on Arsenal's wishlist but the 23-year-old is inclined to join Juventus.

Alexander Isak. The Gunners have contacted the player's representatives but Real Sociedad are unlikely to sell below his €70m release clause. Moreover, we have other priorities in the market and won't spend that much on a striker.

Miguel Gutierrez. Arsenal are considering the 19-year-old Real Madrid left-back as a cover for Tierney. He's held in high regards by Los Blancos hailed one of the most talented academy players right now. He made 5 appearances for the senior team last season. There's nothing advanced now.

James Maddison. As per The Athletic, the 24-year will cost a fortune to sign him this summer. Arsenal are likely to move on from him and focus on other targets.

Andre Onana. The keeper will be available for selection only in November and Arsenal hoped for a greater reduction in his ban. It seems that they have cooled their interest and moved to other targets, namely, Ramsdale, who qualifies as a homegrown player. Onana could see out the last year of his contract with Ajax and won't be short of offers next summer.

OUTS

5 stars

Granit Xhaka. The midfielder basically confirmed his desire to leave Arsenal in the latest interview; it's the question of Roma finding money to buy him.

Matteo Guendouzi wants to join Marseille and Marseille want to sign him

Hector Bellerin. Inter Milan have recently emerged as contenders for his signature. Some Spanish sides are also interested. Heccy is very likely to leave Arsenal this summer.

4 stars

Lucas Torreira. Publicly said he has no intention to return to Arsenal this summer. Lazio are interested in him, as well as some other sides; a €20m transfer fee

William Saliba. Ben White's arrival is likely to result in Willy leaving Arsenal on another loan. A permanent transfer is possible too.

Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah. The duo will be offered a new contract to protect their values. If they turn down those proposals, they'll be put on sale.

3 stars

Emile Smith Rowe. This one should not have been in the round-up at all because him signing for Aston Villa is ridiculous. But let's applaud Villa's persistence. If only Arsenal were that resolute in trying to get Grealish or Maddison on board...

Rob Holding. Arsenal reportedly consider selling him if Ben White joins. However, he is more likely to stay as a backup option.

Joe Willock, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Willian all could leave the club this summer but there have been no recent updates on their futures.
