Speaking on Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher said: "I think if Manchester City beat Arsenal then they will be really strong favourites.
"I do think that. But I also think if Arsenal go to the Etihad and get something, then we're having the same conversation.
"Arsenal and Liverpool would need a three or four-point gap going into the last five or six games of the season if they wanted to topple Man City."
Arsenal will return from the first international break of the year with a massive game against Man City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, March 31.
The Gunners will stay top of the Premier League table if they beat Pep Guardiola's side, extending their lead from reigning champions to four points.
