The German team are out of form, having dropped points left and right in the recent Bundesliga clashes and all but conceding the title to Bayer Leverkusen. However, one of their footballers plays like a man possessed all season — Harry Kane.
Should the Gunners fear someone who's scored 38 goals in 37 games this campaign? The short answer is a resounding yes, but there's more to this than meets the eye.
The England captain has a knack for scoring against Arsenal, who are in the top-3 teams Kane has scored against in his career: 14 goals in 19 clashes. Since 2014/15, Kane has scored against the Gunners at least once a season with Tottenham Hotspurs.
For some reason, Harry enjoys matches against Arsenal and his win balance is not that bad, either: 7 wins, 5 draws, 7 defeats.
Perhaps the reason is the fact Kane used to play for the Gunners but got released as a child?
"I was playing for Arsenal’s youth team at the time," he told the Daily Mail in 2018. "I was behind enemy lines, so to speak, but it was a great opportunity. So one day when I was walking to the park with dad and he said, out of the blue, 'I’ve got to tell you something'.
"I said, 'Yeah, what is it?' Then I remember he put his arm around my shoulder, and he said, 'Well Harry, Arsenal have released you'.
"I don’t think I really knew what it meant. I was too young. But I remember how my father reacted and how it made me feel."
