Speaking to beINSPORTS on Wednesday, Declan Rice said: "We're gutted, we are distraught really. It's just difficult to put into words.
"Over the course of the two legs, we had a great chance to go 2–0 up in the first game, and then we then had an uphill task because we went behind 2–1.
"But we managed to bring it back to 2–2 [in the first leg at the Emirates]. We came here after Sunday, and we were feeling refreshed and ready.
"We now have six finals to go. It's difficult but we need to carry on what we have been doing all season. We can’t let the last two results knock us."
With Arsenal now out of the Champions League and the FA Cup, winning the Premier League remains their only shot at securing a trophy this season.
Still, the Gunners will have win all of their six remaining games in the top flight and hope for Manchester City to drop points in order to achieve that.
