'That's not progress': Mikel Arteta explains why Arsenal are having best season in 130 years of club existence

Speaking after Sunday's game, Mikel Arteta said: "That's 27 wins in the Premier League, it's the most in the history of this football club in 130 years.

"That's not progress, that's history and that's very, very difficult things to do, especially in the league that we are playing in now.

"So big compliment to all the players and the staff for what they've done. That says a lot about how much the team wants it."

Arsenal beat Manchester United 1–0 at Old Trafford on Sunday to secure their 27th win of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

The Gunners will be hoping for Tottenham to take points away from Manchester City on Tuesday as they look to win the title at the weekend.
