'Our rivals have Haaland, Nunez, Jesus': Fan calls out the state of Chelsea's frontline

Chelsea hope to contend for the Premier League title next season but the race to the top is not that easy, with Manchester City and Liverpool in the way.

In fact, last season, Chelsea scored the fewest league goals in the top three, with 76 goals. Liverpool and City scored 94 and 99 respectively.

While the Blues have signed Raheem Sterling this summer, they still lack an outright striker in the squad who can guarantee 25 goals a season. A fan's tweet went viral over this subject:

Liverpool signed Benfica star Darwin Nunez this summer, with City signing Erling Haaland. Arsenal got in Gabriel Jesus while Spurs already have Harry Kane to score goals.

For Chelsea, the striking options are - Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Armando Broja and Michy Batshuayi. Sterling can operate as the false nine but that is not his best position.

Last season, Chelsea's four striker options scored 47 goals. 14 of those came from Batshuayi, who played in a less competitive Turkish league.

In contrast, Nunez and Haaland combined scored 63 goals! City and Liverpool also have other goalscorers such as Riyad Mahrez and Mohamed Salah in the squad already.

Surely, Chelsea must improve their attack in order to contend for the Premier League title.
