"Of course [I have faith in him]," Mauricio Pochettino told a press conference about Djordje Petrovic who is in line to make his first start for Chelsea.
"I have faith in all my players. He arrived to Chelsea because he has potential.
"Of course he’s young and came from different football, but now after four or five months working with us it’s the moment for him to step up and feel good because we have the confidence in him, we trust him, his team-mates trust in him and it’s time for debut at Stamford Bridge.
"We trust in him to perform in the way we want."
Petrovic has just made his first appearance for Chelsea after making a summer move from New England Revolution for a £14m fee. Against Everton, he came on for Robert Sanchez after the Spaniard felt a knee issue prevented him from playing any longer.
Now, the 24-year-old is set to start against Sheffield United as Pochettino has confirmed that Sanchez won't be available.
