Barca miss out on Angelino but could still return for versatile left-back next year

• Barcelona won't be able to land Angelino as Jordi Alba's potential back-up for the next season as the versatile defender has officially joined RB Leipzig.
• The 23-year-old will spend another season on loan at the Bundesliga side, the club have confirmed.
• Leipzig have a mandatory purchase option which means Angelino would move permanently if he plays 12 games next term.
• Otherwise, he would return to his parent club Manchester City.
• The Spaniard used to be one of Barca's prime targets to eventually replace Alba.
• He managed one goal and 5 assists in 18 games last season.
• Apart from Angelino, the Catalans have also been linked with Valencia's Jose Gaya and Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico.
