Speaking to the media after the Brussels attack on Monday, Victor Lindelof said: "I tried to talk to all the players about what they felt, then I felt that I had to speak to the Belgian players and explain to them how we saw the situation.
"We were very clear that we did not want to continue playing. We explained it to them [the Belgian players] and they completely agreed. Those who had family or friends here wanted to try to contact them directly and make sure they were okay.
"I think our security team handled the situation very well and explained it to us. They calmed us down and told us that it was the safest place in Brussels at the moment. We felt safe, even though people were worried."
