Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel has issued a stark warning to Arsenal ahead of their Champions League quarter-final showdown at the Emirates this Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the first leg clash, quoted by Football365, Tuchel explained: "Arsenal are currently the best team in the Premier League and that is deserved, all the data shows that.
"They are in great form and have been at the highest level for the last two seasons so it’s a massive test for us.
"It’s the second year for them where they’re playing at this really high level, they have so much energy on the pitch and they can keep it for a long time."
Despite Bayern falling 16 points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen, Tuchel added: "We know about our own strengths and how we want to cause them pain.
"We know the Champions League is a competition where we have more experience over the last few years. We want to use it to our advantage."
Purely based on recent form, Bayern are nowhere close to Arsenal's dominance in arguably the toughest league in the world.
Arsenal are on a dream run right now, having kept five clean sheets in the last seven games across competitions. The Gunners are also explosive on the other end, scoring 22 goals in just seven Premier League ties.
Bayern are struggling in the Bundesliga; signing Harry Kane has clearly not helped their fortunes either.
The odds are in Arsenal's favour as they return to the summit of European football in style.
