'We are missing seven starting players': Ten Hag praises Man United effort in Arsenal defeat

Erik ten Hag refused to take digs at Man United's performance in the 1-0 loss to Arsenal in the Premier League.

After the game, he told Sky Sports: "We were very competitive and you can see we were on the same level across the game.

"Even when we are missing seven starting eleven players we were in the game and could have got a result."

To his credit, Ten Hag isn't completely wrong here. Despite playing a weakened team, the Red Devils still put up a solid effort and just couldn't be clinical enough in the final third.

However, the loss means that Man United are still in eighth place in the Premier League heading into the last two matches of the season.
