Arsenal's to-do list for summer 2020: All confirmed and preliminary dates plus expected events

Dates & Events

• PL Restart. The 2019/20 Premier League season will be resumed on June 17. All matches will be held behind closed doors and under new rules.
• FA Cup restart. Arsenal are set to face Sheffield United on either June 27 or 28. The exact date has not been confirmed yet. The final will be held at Wembley on August 1, potentially with 20,000 fans in attendance.

Transfer window

• New dates?: The Premier League clubs are said to have discussed the possibility of rescheduling the summer transfer window between August and October in place of the more traditional May-August period.
• Likeliest arrivals: George Lewis (almost confirmed), Thomas Partey (if the Gunners find money), Willian (face battle with Spurs), Orkun Kokcu.
• Less likely arrivals: Kai Havertz, Dayot Upamecano, Axel Disasi, Philippe Coutinho, Julian Draxler, Arek Milik... Overall, around half of Europe remain linked with the Gunners.

• Probable departures: Dani Ceballos (back to Madrid), David Luiz (end of contract; agent expects him to stay), Rob Holding, Sokratis, Shkodran Mustafi (too many centre-backs on books), Ainsley Maitland-Niles (not enough trust from Arteta), Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Mohamed Elneny.
• Potential departures: Lucas Torreira (agent's words), Emi Martinez (wants more game time), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bukayo Saka (see below), Alexandre Lacazette (Laca-to-Atletico rumours).
• Loanees: Pablo Mari is expected to stay beyond this season; Cedric Soares will probably finish the season with the Gunners. William Saliba will return to the Emirates by the end of June.

Expiring contracts

• Auba saga: The forward's contract expires in 2021 and he is stalling on a new deal. Arsenal have recently made another offer (L'Equipe).

• Saka saga: The youngster is on a  £3,000-a-week deal until 2021; there are many rumours about his potential departure. Arsenal were said to be in talks with the winger before the pandemic.
• 2020 expiry: Matt Macey.
• 2021 expiry: Mesut Ozil, Sokratis, Shkodran Mustafi.
